Hey, we get it. Photos is an excellent utility that comes free with your phone for storing and viewing your photos. Findmmm does not replace it—it works alongside it.

The challenge begins when your library grows to thousands of photos and videos. You remember the moment, but not exactly when or where it happened. You scroll and scroll until you finally find it—then often have to repeat the whole search the next time you want to see it. Photos includes useful search and filtering features. Findmmm goes much further, with advanced technology created specifically to help you search, organize, save, and rediscover your memories.

Think of Notes and Microsoft Word. Notes comes free with your phone, and you can certainly use it to write a letter. But most people still choose to pay for Word when they want more powerful tools designed especially for writing. Findmmm brings that same idea to your memories for less than a penny a day.

Photos hold your collection. Findmmm gives you specialized tools to search deeply within it and save how you organized it, making your favourite memories easier to find again.

With Findmmm, you can:

Subscriptions are handled through your Apple ID.

If your subscription ends, the information Findmmm has already organized remains on your device. Simply renew your subscription to start using the app again.

Because your memories are worth a lot more than a few pennies.

Findmmm needs permission to see the photos and videos you want it to help you find. You can allow access to your entire Photos library or only the items you choose. If you choose Limited Access, Findmmm can find and organize only those selected photos and videos.

Findmmm looks through the photos, videos, and albums you have allowed it to see and prepares them for searching. It also begins recognizing useful details, such as places and things in your photos. You do not need to wait for everything to finish. Some of this work will continue later while your device is free.

Not for many everyday features. Most of Findmmm’s work happens directly on your device. You may need the internet when a photo is stored only in iCloud, Findmmm needs additional place information, Apple needs to confirm your subscription, or you want to update the app or contact Support.

Think about how you naturally remember a photo:

Those are Findmmm’s Four W’s - Who, What, When, and Where. Use one or combine them. Give Findmmm whatever you remember and let it help with the rest.

Search for a person, place, date, year, Tag, User Keyword, AI Keyword, subject, or activity. You can search your entire collection or explore memories on the Map. The more you remember, the more you can narrow the results.

Finding memories on the Map is simple, intuitive, and one of Findmmm’s best and most enjoyable features. It lets you travel through your memories by exploring the places where they happened. Drag one finger across the screen to travel anywhere in the world. Spread two fingers apart to zoom in, or pinch them together to zoom out.

Imagine you took a vacation in New York. Move the Map to New York State, then zoom in until you reach New York City. Looking for memories from Times Square? Keep zooming until you reach the few blocks surrounding it. As you get closer, your photos and videos appear in thumbnail groups. Tap a group to open everything from that area in a photo grid, then select the memory you want to see. Want to find it even faster? Select the When filter and choose a year, month, date range, or exact date. You can also combine other Map Filters to narrow your results further.

The magnifying glass opens Findmmm’s Master Search—the most powerful way to search your entire photo and video library. Search by Who, What, When, or Where, along with Describe, Tags, User Keywords, and AI Keywords. Use one choice or combine several to narrow the results until you find exactly the memory you want. Unlike the Map Search, Master Search also finds photos and videos without location information. Wherever the memory is hiding in your library, Master Search can help you find it.

Describe is one of Findmmm’s real “wow” features. Instead of searching with Tags, Keywords, or the Four W’s, Describe looks at what your photos actually look like. Simply type or say a sentence describing the image you remember, such as:

“A woman wearing a red dress.”

“Blue cars”

“A dog running through the snow.”

Your photos do not need matching Tags or Keywords. Findmmm searches their visual details and displays the images that most closely match your description. It is like describing a memory to a friend—and having Findmmm help you find it.

Describe is a more advanced search type, so before you can use it, Findmmm needs a little extra time to look more closely at your photos and understand their visual details. Index photos prepares your photos for this powerful search feature.

We do not want to keep you waiting when you first open Findmmm. You can begin searching right away with the Four W’s, Tags, User Keywords, and AI Keywords. When you are ready to try Describe, simply index your photos. Indexing typically takes about four to five minutes per 10,000 photos, though the time may vary by device. Keep Findmmm open until the process is complete. You can use the Describe feature as soon as it has indexed the first photos, although you will see more and better results once the indexing completes.

Once indexing is finished, Describe is fully ready. Type or say what you remember in the photo and Findmmm will show you the closest matches. Indexing does not change your original photos. It simply gives Findmmm another powerful way to lead you back to your memories.

The three-line icon opens the Map Search. It works much like Master Search but searches only photos and videos that already have location information. Filter your Map by Who, What, When, or Where, along with Tags, User Keywords, and AI Keywords. Use one choice or combine several to narrow the results. The matching photos and videos appear as thumbnails directly on the Map, letting you see both the memories you found and where they happened. Photos and videos without location information will not appear on the Map, but you can still find them using the Master Search magnifying glass.

Not at all. Search by a year, a range of dates, or the same calendar day across every year. It is an easy way to rediscover a vacation, anniversary, birthday, New Year’s Eve, or any day that means something to you.

Yes. Use Where to find memories from a city, country, or other known place, or open the Map to explore visually. Photos without GPS information can still appear in a full-library Search.

Yes. Tap the microphone and say what you are looking for, such as “Photos of Sarah in Florida” or “Show the steak I ate in Toronto.” You can combine voice with Who, What, When, and Where to narrow your search.

A photo needs a location to appear in a Map voice search. If its location is missing, use Findmmm’s Location tool to add it, then try again.

Did you say “find Paul Jones” or did you just say “Find Paul”? Findmmm listens for an exact match of the Name you entered, just in case you have two friends named Paul.

Yes. Choose the style that feels most natural:

Wheels scroll Who, What, When, and Where up and down.

Sliders swipe them from left to right.

Go to Dashboard > Map and choose Vertical for Wheels or Horizontal for Sliders. You can also turn on arrows to make the direction easier to see.

The Map can only show one choice from each category at a time. For a more detailed search on the Map, tap the icon with 3 lines beside the microphone – this is the Map Search filter. There you can combine choices such as two people, a particular place, and several things in the same photo.

Yes. Findmmm can recognize many everyday things in your photos - such as pets, food, equipment, activities, and landmarks - and add AI Keywords that help you find those pictures again. You may not remember when you photographed a dog on the beach, but remembering “dog” and “beach” may be enough to find it.

Yes. Double-tap the photo to enlarge it to 2½ times its original size. Once enlarged, slide your finger across the screen to move around the image and explore the details you want to see. When you are finished, double-tap again to return the photo to its original size.

Tags are one of the most powerful ways to organize and find your memories in Findmmm. A Tag can bring together an entire group of photos and videos based on Who, What, When, or Where—or any combination that matters to you.

You can give a Tag any name you like, such as:

• Vacation in Italy - 2026
• My 30th Birthday
• My Dog at the Park
• Birds and Turtle

Once you add a Tag, you can use it anytime to quickly return to that entire collection. Your memories, organized your way.

Now the fun begins. Drag & Tag lets you create Tags directly from the Map. You can see thumbnails of your located photos and videos wherever your memories have taken you. Simply pinch to zoom, move around the Map, and find the memories you want. Then tap the Select Area button on the top left of the screen, draw a box around them with your finger and add a Tag to the group.

For example, zoom in on Paris, draw a box around your photos, and create the Tag Paris. Want to be more specific? Zoom in closer to the Eiffel Tower, select only those photos, and create the Tag Eiffel Tower. The same photo can have more than one Tag, giving you different ways to find it later.

Imagine you have tagged bird photos taken in Canada, Mexico, and Hong Kong with Birds. When you want to see only the birds you photographed in Hong Kong, type or say:

“Show me pictures of birds in Hong Kong.”

Findmmm combines the Birds Tag with the location Hong Kong and brings those memories together. That is the power of Drag & Tag—your photos, organized exactly the way you remember them.

No. Findmmm detects faces in your photos, but you decide who they are and when to match them with a name. When Findmmm finds a face, you will see an orange box around it. Tap the face and choose an existing name or add a new one.

You can add one yourself. Tap the blue box icon above the photo, then tap the face you want to name. Findmmm will add a box so you can name that person.

Yes - and it can save a lot of time. Open Dashboard > People > Review Unnamed Faces. Select the photos of the same person, then name that person. You can name dozens or even hundreds at once.

Tags are labels you create to organize your photos your way.

User keywords are words or terms you create to identify anything in your photo or video. You add each keyword to Findmmm and save it with the photo or video for future searches. Keywords you add stay in Findmmm, and your original photo does not change. User keywords are powerful tools that help you quickly find your memories and are a unique feature of Findmmm's search technology.

AI keywords are created automatically by Findmmm based on what it recognizes in a photo. They are kept separate, so you can change or remove them without affecting your own tags or keywords.

Good question. Findmmm automatically scans your photos and adds AI Keywords for the things it recognizes. Depending on your collection, that might include useful words such as dog, mountain, or birthday cake. It can also recognize everyday objects that appear again and again, such as door, window, table, fork, spoon, or sky. These words may not be helpful when you are searching, and we do not want them cluttering your results.

The AI Keyword Block List lets you hide those unwanted words. Once an AI Keyword is added to the list, it will no longer appear as an option when you search your photos. You are always in control. Add or remove words from the Block List whenever you like. Blocking an AI Keyword does not delete or change your photos, Tags, or User Keywords—it simply makes searching cleaner and easier.

Absolutely. You can add or change names, Tags, User Keywords, dates, locations, and other available details. Each helpful detail makes that memory easier to find next time without changing your original photo or video.

Simply correct it. You can update a name, Tag, User Keyword, date, location, or other available information. If an AI Keyword is wrong, you can change or remove it without affecting the information you added yourself.

You will spend most of your time in:

• Map — Explore memories by place.
• Tags — Organize memories your way.
• Media — Browse your photos, GIFs, and videos.
• Albums — Explore your collections.
• Dashboard — Manage Findmmm and discover more tools.

To search your entire collection, tap the magnifying glass.

PLAY turns the photos and GIFs you have found into a full-screen show. Instead of tapping through pictures one at a time, sit back and watch the memories roll by. Videos are not included in PLAY.

SPIN is Findmmm’s surprise button; our team is addicted to it. Tap it, and Findmmm selects a random combination of Who, What, When, and Where from your geotagged memories.

It is so much fun to rediscover someone you have not thought about lately, a forgotten trip, a place you loved, or a day that makes you smile. Sometimes the best memories are the ones you were not looking for.

On This Day brings back photos and videos taken on today’s date in previous years, including photos without a location. Explore them as a grid or press PLAY and enjoy the trip down memory lane.

You can choose to see On This Day whenever you open Findmmm, once each day, or not at all.

Yes. Tap the heart to add a photo to your Favourites album in Findmmm. You can choose to add it to Favourites in both Findmmm and your phone’s Photos library—or keep it as a Favourite only in Findmmm.

They can be—but you are in control. Open the Dashboard and scroll down to Favourites. You can choose:

Findmmm and Phone to add Favourites to both places.

Findmmm Only to keep your choices inside Findmmm without changing Favourites on your phone.

You can find your Favourites anytime under Albums and Smart Albums.

Yes. Findmmm recognizes the Photos albums already on your phone, so you can continue enjoying the collections you have created. Your original photos, videos, and albums stay where they are and you can see them under Albums. Findmmm simply makes them easier to browse, organize, and rediscover.

The colours help you quickly recognize each type of album:

• Red Heart shows your Favourites.
• Orange identifies Smart Albums created in Findmmm.
• White shows the albums from your phone’s Photos library.
• Purple identifies albums containing only videos.

A quick glance at the colour tells you what kind of album you are opening.

Who doesn’t smile when they see an emoji? Finding your memories should be fun. When you search for a Keyword that matches an emoji, Findmmm may replace the usual thumbnails with that familiar symbol. Search for fish, for example, and fish emojis can appear wherever matching photos were taken. The same can happen with cars, airplanes, food, and many other recognizable things.

We happen to love a great steak once in a while. Search for steak, and your Map may light up with steak emojis from around the world. Tap one, and you might instantly rediscover that unforgettable Florentine steak you enjoyed in Italy. Emojis give you a quick, playful way to see what you found—and where those memories happened.

Absolutely. We love pets too—our dog’s name is Oscar. There are three ways to give your pet a name and find those favourite photos again:

• Add your pet under Who. Tap your pet’s face or body in a photo, tap the blue box icon, and enter a name. You can then search for your pet the same way you would search for a person.
• Add a User Keyword. Tap the brain icon and add your pet’s name, such as Oscar. Later, search User Keywords to find those photos.
• Create a Tag. Add your pet’s name as a Tag to individual photos or an entire group. Whenever you select that Tag, Findmmm will bring those memories together.

Want a quick way to get started? Findmmm automatically scans your photos and may add an AI Keyword such as dog. Search for dog, select the photos of your pet, then add the pet’s name under Who, as a User Keyword, or as a Tag. It doesn't matter whether your companion is a dog, cat, bird, rabbit, or even a pet turtle. Findmmm can help you find the memories you share with them.

Findmmm creates a few helpful albums automatically to make certain photos and videos easier to find. Pictures saved from WhatsApp, Instagram, X, ChatGPT, and other apps may be missing their original location or show the date they were saved instead of when they were taken. Findmmm also groups special types of photos, such as Screenshots and Panoramas, into their own albums.

These albums help you quickly find photos that may need a little attention. Open an album, select the photos, then add or correct their dates and locations. Don’t worry—Findmmm has not moved or duplicated anything. Your original photos and videos remain safely in your phone’s Photos library.

Smart Albums make it easy to save a detailed search and return to it anytime. Choose any combination of Who, What, When, and Where, along with Tags, User Keywords, and AI Keywords. You can even search by the make and model of the camera used or select a folder on your phone or connected cloud storage.

Once you create a Smart Album, Findmmm automatically gathers the photos and videos that match your choices. You don't need to repeat the same search every time. Open the album whenever you want, tap the yellow PLAY button to enjoy the photos as a full-screen show, or share the collection with friends and family.

Yes. The Dashboard includes tools to help you review possible duplicates, scan status, and photos that may be missing useful information. It is a handy way to do a little housekeeping in a crowded photo library.

Because Findmmm lets you decide exactly what should happen. You can choose:

Delete from Findmmm only. The photo will no longer appear in your Findmmm library or searches, but the original will remain in your phone’s Photos library.

Delete from Photos & Findmmm. This also removes the original photo from your phone, so choose this option only when you are sure you no longer want it.

Perhaps the photo is blurred, a finger covered the lens, or you have several nearly identical pictures taken from slightly different angles or exposures. Whatever the reason, Findmmm puts you in control of whether the photo leaves Findmmm—or leaves your phone as well.

You are not alone. Many photos arrive without a location, especially those taken with a digital camera or received through WhatsApp, social media, or other apps. If photos taken with your iPhone are missing locations, Location Services may be turned off for your Camera.

To check:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Select Privacy & Security.
3. Tap Location Services and make sure it is turned on.
4. Scroll down and select Camera.
5. Choose While Using the App.
6. Turn on Precise Location.

You are all set. New photos taken with your iPhone should now include their location. Turning on Location Services will not add locations to photos you have already taken, but Findmmm can help with those.

Open Media and select one photo or several photos taken in the same place. Tap Location, then choose the option that works best:

• Select a location you have used before.
• Search for a new place.
• Enter the location yourself.
• Use available GPS information to look up the place.

Findmmm will add the location to every photo you selected.

Thankfully, no. Open the Dashboard and select Location Services. You will find three helpful tools: Fix, Add, and Infer.

Sometimes a photo has GPS information, but the place name is missing or does not match. Fix uses the available GPS information to correct or complete the location name.

Add shows you the photos in your library that are missing a location, organized by date. Open a date, select the photos taken in the same place, and add the location to all of them at once.

Infer helps when some photos know where they were taken and others do not. Findmmm looks at photos taken around the same time and within the same distance, then uses a photo with a known location to suggest that likely location for nearby photos.

Imagine spending an afternoon at a park with friends. Everyone shares their photos, but only yours include the park’s location. Set Infer to approximately 90 minutes and 3 kilometres. Findmmm can use your known location to help place the other photos at the same park.

Start small and check the results. If your time or distance range is too large, Findmmm may include photos taken somewhere else. You can always make the circles larger to include more photos. If a circle places some photos in the wrong place, no harm done - simply select those photos and move them to the correct location.

It probably does not have a location attached. The photo is still searchable in Findmmm, but it needs a location to appear on the Map. Tap the Location icon and add where you took it.

No problem. Findmmm was built with digital cameras in mind. Many cameras do not add a location, and their date or time may be incorrect - especially after travelling through different time zones. Open Media, select one photo or a group, and use Location or Change Date to correct them together. Once you add the details, those memories become much easier to find.

Absolutely. It is the perfect time to add a Tag or User Keyword to the entire group. Either can be a single word, such as Picasso, Shark, or Fireworks, or a memorable phrase such as “Elton John Concert,” “Paris Vacation,” “Ribeye Steak,” or “Birthday Cake”

To add them:

For a Tag, tap the Tag icon, then the + symbol and enter the word or phrase.

For a User Keyword, tap the Brain icon, type the complete word or phrase, then add a comma. The comma saves that keyword phrase and lets you enter another.

When you are finished, tap Apply to add everything to the selected photos.

Findmmm will also scan your photos and automatically add AI Keywords for things it recognizes, such as a dog, fish, mountain, chicken, or bicycle. The more helpful details a photo has, the easier it is to find again.

When someone sends you a photo or video through WhatsApp, WhatsApp usually removes the original location. The date will appear as the day you received or saved it rather than the day it was taken. Select one photo or a group of related photos in Findmmm. Add where they were taken, correct the date, and add any helpful Tags or User Keywords. Findmmm will also scan the photos and add AI Keywords.

The same thing often happens with photos and videos downloaded from social media. Their location may be missing, and the displayed date may be when you saved the file - not when the moment actually happened. Select the related photos, add the location, and correct the date. You can also add Tags and User Keywords while Findmmm adds helpful AI Keywords for what it recognizes.

Sometimes. If the original photo includes its location and date, and that information is preserved when it is shared, you should receive it with those details. If the information is missing, select the photo in Findmmm and add the correct location or date. The memory may have arrived without its details, but Findmmm helps you put them back.

Never. Your photos are yours. Period.

Findmmm does its work directly on your device. We do not upload your photo library. We do not look at your photos. We do not sell your photos or your personal information. Your memories stay where they belong: with you.

If a photo is stored only in iCloud, Apple Photos may download it when you choose to view or share it—just as it does with other photo apps. Findmmm does not upload it anywhere.

No—not unless you specifically choose to. Findmmm keeps its organizing information, including Tags, User Keywords, AI Keywords, and names, separate from your original photos and videos. Adding or changing these details does not rewrite the original file.

Your originals remain safely in Photos, iCloud, or the folders where you keep them. If you decide to delete something, Findmmm gives you two choices: remove it from Findmmm while leaving the original on your phone or delete it from both Findmmm and the Photos on your phone. You remain in control.

Findmmm mainly cares about where your memories happened, not where you are standing today. It uses location information already saved with your photos to place them on the Map and help you search by Where. If a photo or video does not have a location, you can add one with Findmmm’s Location tools.

No. A Findmmm backup saves the library of information Findmmm uses to organize your memories, not your original photos and videos. Your originals remain in Photos, iCloud, or your connected drive. To create a backup, open the Dashboard and tap Save a Backup. Choose where to save it, and Findmmm can preserve your organization and other information so you can restore it later.

We’re fast. Open the Dashboard and tap Save a Backup. It is typically finished in less than 10 seconds, although larger libraries or slower storage may take a little longer. In a few moments, Findmmm safely backs up the information it uses to organize your memories.

Yes. In the Dashboard, tap Scheduled Backups. Choose where the backup should be saved, what time it should run, and whether it should run daily or weekly. To check that backups are running, open Dashboard > Activity and look for the most recent backup. If your phone is asleep or turned off at the scheduled time, the backup will run after the device becomes available again.

Your Findmmm subscription is handled by Apple. Manage or cancel it through your Apple ID subscriptions or go to Dashboard > Manage Subscription. The Findmmm website does not bill you for the app.

No. Your original photos and videos remain safely in your phone’s Photos library. As long as you do not delete your library files, the information Findmmm has already organized stays on your device. Your access to Findmmm will pause when your subscription ends, but if you don’t delete Findmmm, nothing you have organized disappears. Simply renew your subscription to pick up where you left off.

That is the plan. Findmmm will continue adding languages and expanding to more countries and regions as it grows. Availability may vary by App Store country or region.
